IdaPro MPI-85

Idaho Milk Products Milk Protein Isolate 85 (MPI-85) is manufactured from fresh pasteurized skim milk using a proven low-heat membrane filtration process to ensure that the protein is undenatured and remains highly functional and nutritional. IdaPro MPI-85 is eighty five percent protein on a dry weight basis, with the casein and whey proteins in the same ratio that naturally occurs in fresh cow milk. Other component target values are fat 1.2%, lactose 3.5%, ash 6.8% and moisture 4.8%. MPI-85 has a clean, light, milky flavor and aroma. IdaPro MPI-85 has test-proven functional attributes: superior solubility, emulsifying properties, suspension stability and viscosity stability.

IdaPro MPI-85 is used as an emulsifier/stabilizer in dairy products such as yogurt, ice cream and ice cream novelties, liquid and powdered nutritional formulations and meat products. It is also a valuable “Total Milk Protein” source in protein enrichment applications such as powdered protein and Ready to Drink beverages for sports nutrition, adult nutrition and weight management. IdaPro MPI-85  is used in nutrition powders and beverages where a lower lactose is desired. IdaPro MPI-85 is also used as a cheese milk fortifier in standardized cheeses outside of the US. The high protein and superior solubility enables higher yields in high quality cheeses.

IdaPro MPI-85 is packaged in multi-walled paper bags with a double polyethylene liner (net content of 20 kg) and is also available in polyethylene lined totes (net content of 800 kg).
